You may have seen it spelt "bomboniere" and "bonbonniere". You can say "bom-boh-naire" or"bom-bon-yaire" (as in care) and you could say "bom-boh-nair-re" (pronouncing the "re" on the end) or you could try "bom-boh-nee-yaire". If you're searching for wedding bomboniere, you most likely already know what it means, but in case you don't, I'll fill you in.
A bomboniere is a small gift given to the guests at a special occasion, in this case a wedding. Traditionally in Italy, five jordan almonds were given as wedding bomboniere and each almond had a special meaning - health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life.
